Recipe For a Classic Margarita
Makes Four Servings
Ingredients
One cup Silver tequila
3/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
Four Tablespoons fresh orange juice
Four Tablespoons Agave nectar, sugar syrup or sugar water
One cup ice
1/4 cup Kosher salt
Four chilled Martini glasses or tall glasses lined with Kosher salt
Lime Wedges For Garnish
Mint leaves for garnish
Method
1) In a tall glass or blender place the ice, juices, tequila, and sugar. Whirl on a slow setting so as not to completely crush the ice.
2) Place some additional ice in your Martini glasses to chill. Remove the ice. Put salt on a plate and spread it out. Rim your glasses with the salt by dipping the rim in.
3) Pour your ice cold Margaritas into the glasses, straining with the lid. Garnish with mint leaves and lime wedges
