How to Make a Lower Fat Onion Dip for Vegetables, Potato Chips or Bread

Onion Dip with Ridged Potato Chips or French Bread


One cup low fat or fat free sour cream

One cup low fat or fat free mayonaisse

11/2 cups minced regular white onion or scallions

Two large garlic cloves minced

One tablespoon sweet paprika

One teaspoon Worchestershire sauce (optional)

Two teaspoons Kosher salt

Two tablespoons minced dill or flat leaf parsley

1/2 teaspoon white pepper


1) In a large non reactive bowl place the sour cream and the mayonaisse mix well to combine.

2) Mince the onion, garlic, and parsley and combine. Fold into the sour cream and mayonaisse.

3) Mix in the minced herbs, salt pepper paprika and Worchestershire sauce

4) In a small beautiful bowl chill covered with plastic wrap or in a plastic container covered until serving

Serve with fresh vegetables, chips, or bread.
